Lama Al Faseeh wins Ryerson 3-Minute Thesis

LamaGraduate Student is a second year PhD candidate in Civil Engineering and under the supervision of Dr. Bilal Farooq. Her winning 3MT presentation was title: “The Real Future: Mixed Traffic of Human-Driven Vehicles (HDVs) and Autonomous Vehicles (AVs)”. This is Lama’s first time competing at 3MT and she was inspired to enter this year’s competition after attending the last year’s event and picturing herself in the place of the participants. Lama’s approach to the 3MT Competition was to take the simple phenomenon she wanted to tackle (For example, congestion, which is one of the aspects of the problem) and to share the benefits of her solution at all levels. Lama is excited and proud to represent Ryerson at the provincial level competition on April 19, 2018!
